John's United Methodist Church in Norway, a member of the United Methodist Women for 55 years, Chair of the Missions Committee, served on the Board of Trustees, was a Sunday School Teacher, and served on many other committees in the church. She was a teacher in the Orangeburg County School system for almost 20 years, a homemaker, and helped with her family’s dairy farm, MHD River Farms. Faye married Marvin in 1947, and moved to Norway, SC, where she lived for 48 years. She was a graduate of Columbia College, where she was voted “Most Womanly” in 1946. She was a daughter of the late Olive Smith and John Pickett Rush. Faye was born January 1, 1923, in Olanta, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church. Pallbearers will be Peter Hovestadt, George Smith, Harvey Williamson, Jr., Bill Tindal, Charles Goodwin, Joey Williamson, Richard Brown, and Danny Covington.
